This module will offer some essential elements of a pastoral visit, emphasising the diversity of needs and circumstances. The participants will also work together to develop guidelines for effective pastoral contact.
Elders will benefit from this module, but also others in the Congregation who are recognised as pastoral visitors. When participants have completed their work for this module, they will be able to discuss the issues and concerns that affect them in their role as a pastoral visitor and to alert them to any specific aspects of their ministry that need strengthening and resourcing.
